Christopher L. Shank, D.D.S.

With an open and friendly approach to his treatment style, Dr. Shank provides a wide variety of general dental services and feels that patient education is the key cornerstone of his practice. Dr. Shank is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of dental medicine, where he graduated in the in the top of his class and received the prestigious Fox award, awarded by the faculty to the graduating student who demonstrated the highest clinical, professional and leadership skills. Soon after graduation he came to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for a General Practice residency. During the residency he provided treatment to underserved patients, managed dental care of inpatients in the hospital and Operating Room, and gained experience in the emergency treatment and reconstruction in cases of oral and facial trauma.

He has traveled internationally to furnish dental treatment on medical missions, with his last trip to Peru where he spent two weeks seeing patients on the Amazon River.
